Dentures / Implants
What are Veneers?
Veneers are used to cover the front surface of chipped or broken teeth to improve their appearance. Once they bond with teeth, dental veneers change their color, shape, size or length.
Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are used to treat several dental problems such as chipped, broken, discolored or smaller teeth. They are usually more affordable than dental implants. A dental veneer is designed to bond with the tooth’s front surface.
Types of Veneers
There are five types of veneer- porcelain veneers, composite resin veneers, lumineers, palatal veneers, and removal/snap-on veneers.
Porcelain Veneers
Offer better resistance to stains than composite veneers and also better imitate the light reflecting properties of teeth. They are commonly used to address a variety of dental problems including tooth discoloration (can be caused by certain medications, large resin fillings or excessive fluoride), worn down teeth, chipped teeth, misaligned or irregularly shaped teeth, and gap between teeth.
Composite Resin Veneers
They are more affordable and comparatively easier to repair than porcelain veneers, but less durable than their porcelain counterparts. Composite resin veneers also stain more easily.
Lumineers
Are as thin as contact lenses. While less invasive, they may not be suitable for severely damaged teeth that may need to be reshaped.
Palatal Veneers
Also known as snap-on veneers, they snap on or over existing teeth. These types of veneers can be removed. A major drawback of removable veneers is that they are not as durable or natural looking as other types of veneers.
Removable Veneers
Also known as snap-on veneers, they snap on or over existing teeth. These types of veneers can be removed. A major drawback of removable veneers is that they are not as durable or natural looking as other types of veneers.
Dental Veneer Benefits
Dental veneers offer the following benefits for individuals looking to improve the appearance of their teeth
- They are minimally invasive. The process of applying veneers does not involve changing the shape or structure of teeth significantly
- Veneers, particularly porcelain veneers are quite durable and can last decades
- Veneers can drastically improve the appearance of misaligned, discolored, chipped, and misshapen teeth
- A dental veneer can be shaped and colored to match the surrounding teeth
Porcelain veneers are highly resistant to stain - Veneers take less time to apply

Dental Implants
Six million people in the U.S. have no teeth in one or both arches, and most are unaware of what dentistry offers. One hundred twenty million people have lost one or more teeth. Dental implants are the answer to missing teeth. They are biocompatible, made of surgical-grade titanium, and manufactured substitutes to replace missing tooth roots.
Implants come in various shapes and sizes to address individual needs. Most are cylinders placed into the bone and allowed to heal undisturbed while the bone heals around them, locking them in like an anchor. After a few months, the implants are used as a foundation for replacing the missing teeth. In some cases, “Immediate Implants” are placed, and temporary teeth are put in the SAME DAY!
